PNB-Napeo

The U.S. - North Africa Partnership for Economic Opportunity is a network of U.S. and North Africa business leaders, entrepreneurs, civil society and public sector leaders with a mission to foster job creation, regional cooperation, and entrepreneurship, with a focus on youth. Over the next five years this network is committed to positively impacting 100,000 people through 1,000 cross-border partnerships.

PNB-NAPEO is locally-owned and locally-driven. Local Advisory Boards have been established in Algeria, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia, and with one currently being formed in Libya. These boards identify and determine priorities and resources for their respective countries, as well as regional agenda.

NAPEO is public-private partnership between the U.S. Department of State and the Partners for a New Beginning (PNB).  It is led by a NAPEO International Advisory Board of prominent business, diaspora and civil society leaders.  NAPEO's value-add is that it fosters partnerships that advance local and Maghreb priorities, and increase links with organizations and businesses in the United States.

The network created by PNB-NAPEO will be the vehicle for communities in the United States and North Africa to identify, initiate and sustain projects and initiatives at the Maghreb regional level to foster entrepreneurship and access to finance, education and job skills training, science and technology, and cross-border exchanges.
